My recollection of Einstein, 1990.

Transcription of talk Reiche gave to the Albert Einstein Society, Bern, Switzerland, 1 October 1990. Reiche's father, Fritz Reiche, was a pupil of Einstein in Berlin. He recalls memories of "Uncle Albert" while growing up in Germany; how Einstein helped his family leave Germany during the rise of the Nazis; visits with Einstein at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Princeton; Einstein's role in and opinions on the Manhattan Project and the use of the atomic bomb; his relationship with Max Planck; his likes and dislikes; and other anecdotes.

Fritz Reiche was born on July 4, 1883 in Berlin, Germany. He attended the University of Munich from 1901 to 1902 and the University of Berlin from 1902 to 1907.
